Food
We like to keep things real—our food photos are completely unedited and unstaged, captured by Billy just as the dishes are served. That way, you get an honest look at what we cook. Do keep in mind that some foods and fruits aren’t always easy to find here compared to the Western world, so what we serve can vary depending on what’s in season and available while you’re with us.
Breakfast & Local Tea & coffee are supplied freely along with soda water and cordial juice drinks. There is NO alcohol available in the villa.
However, you may purchase locally and bring to the villa where Billy, our butler, will ensure it is placed in the larder or fridge.
Breakfast
Since we know Sri Lankan breakfasts can be new for some guests, we’re happy to offer a variety of choices—among them British classics such as dippy eggs and soldiers, and baked beans or Poached eggs on toast.

- BREAKFAST OPTIONS ARE:
- A Sri Lankan breakfast with local flavours
- An English breakfast or the likes of poached eggs on toast or a seasonal fruit platter/ yoghurt
- Toast with an assortment of jams/ Marmite/peanut butter etc.
Lunch
$8 per person

- We offer our Poyamoon salad served with fresh bread. It features small pineapple pieces blended with a touch of mint, combined with a traditional Greek-style mix of cucumber, red onion, tomato, and peppers, finished with feta cheese and a drizzle of olive oil. If you’d like to add extras such as prawns, we can happily arrange that.
- Our hearty, homemade soups are served with freshly baked village bread. You’ll often find comforting favourites such as pumpkin, mixed vegetable, tomato, mushroom, or leek & potato. The selection may vary depending on the season and local produce, and we’re always glad to adjust ingredients to suit your dietary needs.
- If you prefer something lighter for lunch, we can also prepare a toasted sandwich.
Evening Meal
- SET EVENING MEAL ($10pp)
- Sri Lankan curries which maybe chicken, pumpkin or vegetable
- Vegetable or Chicken fried rice ( red or white rice sourced from the Paddy field)
is served between 630pm and 730pm.
Some of the meals shown in our pictures are available as alternative choices if you’d like to try them, though they do come with a small additional fee since they’re outside the set menu. We’re always happy to explore options for you, but please discuss these with us beforehand. Because we’re based “in the sticks,” sourcing certain ingredients can take time.
A superb additional item at no additional cost is home-made Yorkshire pudding, which goes amazingly well with a curry.

Our homemade Yorkshire puddings have developed something of a cult following among guests.
What started as a curious experiment has become a much-loved favourite — their light, golden crispness pairing unexpectedly (and brilliantly) with rich, fragrant curries. East meets West, and it just works.
If you’d like to give them a try, please be sure to let the Butler know in advance. Great Yorkshire puddings, after all, refuse to be rushed.

Desserts
We are happy to also prepare desserts for you that you may like as an additional flourish at the table. Here are a few things that we are able to offer
- JELLY & ICE CREAM ( or a selection of ice creams)
- BLUE GINGER SURPRISE
- MANGO & PINEAPPLE CRUMBLE
- CINNAMON & APPLE CRUMBLE
